I’ve seen reports that our north pole is almost gone. I know that by its melting, earths river currents are gonig to change, but what kind of effects in every day weather will we all be faced with.

WORST CASE SCENARIO
Maybe with the North pole gone there may be changes in the gulf streams which could affect global climates
And the water from the melting ice of Greenland ,Ice land ,mountain Glaziers and Antarctica will raise sea levels ,resulting in billions of people on the coast being displaced ,resulting in Government instability and violence between residents of the high grounds and the escaping migrants from the coastal areas.
Also the enormous weight of the 2 kilometer high ice packs (Greenland)lifted,could result in the Earth expanding in those areas and may cause tsunamis and other earth movements.
Apart from that animals will have changed or no habitats, causing chain reactions in food chains of the fauna in many places and changes in the flora.
Humanity will be greatly affected along the line, with loss of low laying arable lands and necessary changes of location for crops because of changes of local conditions
You will no longer be able to use a compass to find magnetic north and you will get lost. with only one pole left all the weather will be drawn to what was formerly known as South

Should the term : " Counter Daily Weather " sound foreign in your ear and senses, let me then simply explain that it is the condition or status in the Atmosphere where the usual trend of the weather vis – a – vis the climate contradict the needs of the Environment and other element that needs the same for sustenance.

If the earth were to stop rotating, there would be no rotational axis and therefore no poles. This would be the only way the north pole could ever disappear. During the six months of daylight it would get really hot, and during the six months of night it would get really cold, at all latitudes.
What you probably meant by your question was what kind of weather could we expect if the polar ice melted. There have been times in earth’s past when there was no polar ice, but no one was around to observe the weather. One of those times was the Carboniferous Age, when most of the land area was swampy jungle. It probably rained a lot.

Probably the best source for information on this subject, since it hasn’t happened yet, are computer generated weather models and ocean current models, if any for the future yet exist. Since we’ve never seen the arctic ocean, where the north pole is located, unfrozen, meteorologists, climatologists and other scientists can only theorize what the weather shall be like should the arctic become unfrozen like the Atlantic, Pacific and Indian Oceans. If temperatures at the north pole become that warm and are above freezing long enough for the ice of the Arctic Ocean to melt, I would think it would effect change and influence the weather on the rest of the planet in a major way.

Ocean water will not be able to be cooled, changing the strength of storms. Not only will hurricanes be stronger while the sea level rises but, the frequency & strength of tornadoes will increase. Towns that was once unheard of having tornado’s have already been hit. Winters will be allot milder with allot less snow & warmer temperatures, their will be droughts in areas of the world & record setting heat causing fires. Their will be catastrophic floods in other parts of the world. If you want to see, its been predicted in the bible. Their will be fires, floods, & earthquakes. Widespread famine & disease. It’s really scary if you look at what it says, because that is what is happening & is getting ready to happen. Also not to mention what is about to happen in the middle east with Iran.

We all heard this, the time the Dodo became extinct..what will happen to the weather ? Answer the same as it has always been…a constant changing ,non conforming event. What gets me, is that we have had weathermen on tv for years trying to predict weather for the next day….NEVER RIGHT. And then we get the global warmers that can predict 100 years in advance. If they cant predict 24 hours ahead with all the fancy equipment why the hell should we believe the global warming weather forecast…

The North pole is a result of the Earths magnetic field.
No one really knows. But ocean circulation is driven by cold water formation in the Arctic (North Atlantic Deep Water). So, with the ice caps gone, ocean circulation will slow or stop for a period of time. Europe will get colder because of the gulf stream stopping. And all weather patterns will change, since there is a tight coupling between the ocean and the atmosphere.
Ocean production will slow, fish will die. Less carbon will be taken up by the ocean, the earth will get warmer.
At some point the system will reach a tipping point n the other end and start to cool off…maybe due to increased land primary production.
