You’ve probably heard that just because a keyboard amp is designed to not color the sound in the same way that a guitar amp is. A keyboard amp is meant to be clean whereas a guitar amp is meant to have a distinctive sound. Any clean amplifier will do. This might include a bass amp, a keyboard amp, an acoustic amp with a dedicated vocal channel, an active vocal monitor, or a cheap PA amp head with a single cabinet. I would browse craigslist and find something that works in your budget. There are many solutions out there. Personally, I’d be tempted by something like You’ll get one extra channel to play with, an amp your guitarist might be able to use on stage, and something with a good re-sale value.
