I want to become a news anchor. I have the looks, talent, and willpower, but I need to know what else I can do to be successful. I don’t necessarily want to become famous, but I would like to support myself adequately. What can I do to assure success, and how long will I have to work to become a news anchor?

You have to be very competitive and good at doing stuff fast. Being able to quickly do a story and be articulate. Be able to interview people well and make them feel important when you interview them. You will most likely be a reporter before you be an anchor. A lot of it is luck too so GOOD LUCK!!!

A while back I came across what I considered extremely important news and wanted to let national TV news channels know, most specifically thinking of CNN or even MSNBC, but could not find anywhere I could "click" for lets say "news tips", "contact us", "urgent news", or similar. It may sound silly but there are some things sometimes people feel better telling it to news mediums than police or other authorities.

Why? Well because news people are always willing to hear and listen to what you can explain to them in an intelligent way. Most of the time authorities tend to make their own judgement without you finishing your story. Or worse yet cut you off telling you "let proper authorities handle it".

I have no idea how any news channel would have reacted to what I thought was something odd and a bit complicated, thus making it important in the world situation we now have. But just in case I come across something like that I want to tell someone immediatedly, in strict confidence.

I want alerts regularly for latest finance buzz and news. I hardly get time for reading news on net. So I want latest finance new to be mailed me regularly, so when I check my mail box I can read latest finance and news too(Especially FINANCE NEWS). Please help me with this.

Well, there are a few ways that I can think of. I think one of the best would be to sign up for an online newsletter, one from a reputable financial publication like Kiplinger.

Other than that I believe that there are some online finance magazines that you can sign up for an RSS feed with. I know that isn’t the same as your mailbox but it still keeps you up to date.

Otherwise there are a number of financial magazines that you can look at online, usually the ones like Fotrune, and Money which is hosted by CNN, and I believe that they will give you an email update but you’d have to check their website.

One last thing, there is a pretty good ehow article that describes your options, some of which I already said, but it might be worth a look.
