The arrangement should make it easier for your customers to find what they need, and what they want. Be sure to put like things together and give people enough space to move around freely.
Let your kids be entrepreneurs too and have them sell their own stuff. Set up a separate table for them. You’ll probably find they will do a lot better than you will.
At the end of the tables, prior to walking out with the goods, have a vigilant cashier who’ll bag the items and take the cash. This will prevent items from being shoplifted.
Finally, post a classified ad about your garage sale so people will know about it. State the opening date, the venue, and a few helpful descriptions about what you’re selling. You can run a classified advertisement on your local paper, and for sheer broadcasting scope, go via the Internet.
And remember to have fun. After all, garage sales are the perfect way/excuse to meet the neighbours and make new friends. Now people know you and you have just ran the biggest free classifieds for yourself.

I am a senior in college and looking for some opinions. I want to be a news anchor on television for local news stations. Do I need to go to Grad school for this? If so, would I just take a masters in Broadcast Journalism?

When will the weather start to get warmer in Chicago?
I live in Chicago and I want to know when the weather outside will start to get warmer so I can start working out outside again. I know i can technically do that know, but I haven’t worked out in a while so I’d like to start off on a warm day that’s uninterrupted by snowfall. If anyone has a prediction for when this will be that would be helpful. Thanks!
Since I’m from the suburbs of Chicago, I can help you out here.
The temperatures start to average out much warmer usually by the end of March. Its supposed to be warm on Thursday (50′s, 60′s), but there is a chance of rain. I am predicting that 50′s and 60′s will become more regular in a few weeks. Its what I’m hoping for because I hope to hike from Chicago Union Station to Grant Park, and then to Adler Planetarium. In my opinion, there’s nothing quite like a nice long hike through Chicago.
EDIT: Since warm air advection has been taking place, its been, well, warm! It would be really to see plenty of thunderstorms. It would seem that the long-term warm weather pattern might be starting earlier than normal.
